Private Citizen, Emali-Kenya

  • TaskImplementing a Water Pumping System

Emali is a fast growing town located along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway in Kenya’s Makueni County. However despite it’s fast growing pace it is rather dry and infrastructure though on the up and up is rather low at the town that is deemed as ‘The town that never sleeps’ due to it’s vibrant night life.

With the concerns of water scarcity, a private citizen approached us to see what we could do about water distribution on his farm in Emali, Kenya and we were there to offer quick and ample solution for the small scale farmer who provides agricultural produce for the people of Emali.

With our skills in implementing water pumping systems, we teamed up with a team of borehole diggers and well makers to source water for the farmer. By the time we were done, the farmer’s capacity to access water was increased from less than 5000 Litres/Daily to a capacity of 33,000 Litres/Daily. Hence this helped him bore more produce and supply more to the people and increase sales.

The solar water pumping system implemented here for maximum impact included:

  • Schott Solar 190Wp Modules
  • Lorenz PS1800 pump
